The service consists of the Feasibility Study, Preliminary and Detailed Engineering Design and preparation of bidding documents. The consultancy services shall be executed in two phases as follows:
(i) Phase 1: Economic Feasibility Study, Environmental Impact Assessment and Preliminary Design of the proposed road.
(ii) Phase 2: Prepare a detailed Engineering Design Report, Resettlement Action Plan and prequalification and Bidding Documents Production.
The objective of a Road Safety Audit is to check the safety aspects of the road schemes before they are built. The objective is to identify potential safety problems, so that, where possible, the design can be changed to eliminate or reduce them.
The specific objectives of the services include, but are not limited to the following activities: Carry out Road Safety Audit (RSA) in two stages of project implementation which are:
(i) Stage 2 RSA of the Preliminary engineering design; and,
(ii) Stage 3 RSA of the detailed design
